The McKinley Park Dog Park Committee is a group of individuals from the McKinley Park area who are interested in starting a safe, legal Dog Friendly Area in Chicago’s iconic McKinley Park, which rests on nearly 70 acres of Chicago’s South Side, on Pershing between Western and Damen
Our Story
The McKinley Dog Park Advisory Council is a group of individuals who preside over McKinley Dog Park-- a safe, legal Dog Friendly Area in the McKinley Park. The 12,000 sq. ft. dog park is located on Pershing & Western and is the first public dog park in Chicago's Southwest side. The DFA, built in January of 2020 boasts a small dog area, two human/pet water fountains, and complimentary pick-up bags. Come check it out!
All park users must follow Chicago Park District Rules & Regulations, Permit & Tag requirements, as well as posted signs.
